Fundraiser for a community dog
This gorgeous dog, Daeng is in desperate need of help.
A community resident (near main immigration) noticed he had a problem with his nose at the end of July and reached out for help from Shelter 88 . It initially looked like an infection from a bite. He was also infested with ticks. He was treated with an anti tick and flea medication and an antibiotic for 14 days but things carried on getting worse so we rallied help, including the lovely Dr Pakin from Pet Family Clinic near immigration.
He is now on his 4th antibiotic, trying desperately to clear up the infection as it now looks like he might have TVT (a transmittable cancer). The infection should really be cleared before he can have the chemotherapy used to cure the cancer.
The cancer is growing and pushing into his soft palate now as well as splitting the skin over his nose as it grows 😢
It is best that he stays at the vet for continued care but he may need to be returned to the community until he finishes the current antibiotics as funds are very low.
He may need a bacterial culture if the latest antibiotic does not work and he also needs a test to determine it is definitely TVT as the nose area is unusual.
If you can help Daeng, he and his community would be really grateful. We have just had a bill of 5,350 baht and a community member paid a previous bill of 2,240 baht.

We urgently need help for Mii Dum, or Black Bear. 💙
Mii Dum came to us a few days ago after being hit by a car, and his injuries are severe.
The impact has snapped his leg in half and broken his hip and tail. He is also struggling badly to pass stool, leaving him constipated and straining every time he needs to go. He is in immense pain, and we need to act quickly.
Over the last few days, we've been trying to find the best possible option for him. Because his injuries are so complex, we are now looking at sending him to a specialist in Bangkok for surgery.
The cost will be around 70,000 THB / £1,600 / $2,100.
Mii Dum is a temple dog who was found and cared for by a local dog-loving lady before coming to us. Right now, he needs far more than basic treatment. He needs specialist surgery as soon as possible so we can relieve his pain and give him the best chance of recovery.
